Today we are going to the village of Dahigora in Ghatshila. In the morning we left Jhargram for Ghatshila. The journey from Jhargram to #Ghatshila is approximately two and a half hours. Our car is running through a green road on both sides. On the way, I found a vegetable dealer with a vegetable filling bike. They are buying vegetables from Jhargram for sale at their destinations. Today, one of the motives for our journey to Dahigora to visit the house of the legendary writer Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay. Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay was born on 12th September 1894. He was the son of Mahananda Bandyopadhyay and Mrinalini Devi. He received his early education from Bongaon High School. After that he went to Ripon College (Now Surendranath College) and completed his intermediate & Graduation from there. He was the Headmaster at Jangipara High School & later joined Harinavi Anglo-Sanskrit Institution. He wrote many novels & some of them have been adapted in films by Satyajit Ray and other directors. Amongst his novels, 'Pather Panchali', 'Aparajito', 'Aranyak', 'Debjan', Icchamati' and 'Chander Pahar' are the most famous. This great author had a short span of life. He died on November 1st, 1950, at the age of 56. Now we come to Jharkhand And after getting some way we will reach Ghatshila station. Now to my left is the Ghatshila Station. We're on the Ghatshila Bridge. It's raining a little, The weather is pleasant. Finally arrived at Dahigora village, Shri Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay's residence Gaurikunja. According to the name of his second wife Gouri Devi he named his house 'Gouri Kunj'. We arrived at noon. But the gate was closed, I found out that Caretaker was getting lunch, would open the get at three o'clock in the afternoon. Must wait. It was three o'clock in the afternoon. It has Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay's restroom, bedroom and a porch.
